There is no better way to learn about Bridgewater and all that makes it the right choice for you than by visiting our main campus in Bridgewater, Mass. We encourage you to get to know the university by exploring our new online campus tour and by planning to attend a student-led tour and/or information session.

Campus Tours and Information Sessions

Tours and information sessions, offered through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, are for prospective students in or entering high school or for students transferring from another institution who want a general overview of the admission process.

Visitors will have the opportunity to see our beautiful 270-acre campus including the interior of a residence hall, academic buildings, library, campus center, a dining hall and classroom.


Campus walking tours are led by a BSU student and give visitors an opportunity to see our entire campus and hear about Bridgewater from a student’s perspective. A tour takes approximately 90 minutes and will depart from the Welcome Center, 45 Plymouth Street. Visitor parking is located in the Welcome Center, West and Harrington parking lots.

When classes are in session 11 a.m. Monday - Thursday
 3 p.m. Monday - Friday

During summer months 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., Monday - Thursday

During winter session 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., Monday - Friday

Tours will be offered on the following holidays:

President's Day, February 17, 2020
Patriot's Day, April 20, 2020

Information Sessions

Bridgewater also offers comprehensive information sessions, conducted by the Admissions staff. These information sessions are offered on Friday mornings at 10 a.m. as well as on other select dates and times. A campus tour follows at 10:30 a.m. The information session and tour combined take approximately 2 hours.

Saturday Tours

 (Not available between May - August)

Bridgewater offers tours on select Saturdays throughout the fall and spring. Tours are led by a BSU student and give visitors an opportunity to see our entire campus and hear about BSU from a student’s perspective. Your visit will last for approximately 90 minutes and will depart from the Welcome Center, 45 Plymouth Street. Visitor parking is located in the Welcome Center, West and Harrington parking lots.

Please note: The Office of Undergraduate Admissions and all other administrative offices are closed on Saturdays, but our tour guides will be able to provide you contact information for our staff, should you have any questions. We will return your inquiry on the following business day.

Group Tours

Bridgewater offers schools, businesses and other organizations the opportunity to bring groups of interested students, in grades 8 and higher, to visit campus. We ask that you schedule appointments three weeks in advance for group tours, which are not offered during exceptionally busy times on the admissions calendar.

Self-Guided Tours

Self-guided tour packets are available in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. An Admissions counselor is available to answer questions when the office is open. No reservations are required.

Campus Tour Reservations

If you need to cancel your reservation, please log into your account to do so. Once logged in, click on the “X” that appears to the right of the event for which you have registered.

In the event of severe weather, BSU will heed the warnings of the National Weather Service and tours will be cancelled. On such occasion, please visit the Bridgewater State University homepage to see if the University has closed. In the event that BSU is closed and your tour is cancelled, we encourage you to log into your Admissions Account and register for another tour.

Late Arrivals: We recommend that you plan on arriving to campus at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled tour. Please allow time for parking and walking to your designated tour area. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, the Office of Undergraduate Admissions will make every attempt to accommodate your needs, however a student-led tour will no longer be guaranteed.
